Will Jones is one of Kudzu's principal owners. Will was destined to become a business owner, as he began his career at family-owned Jones Brothers Canning Company in Greer, SC and later covered multiple markets with stellar results. When he's not on the corporate playing field, he enjoys fly-fishing, camping, golfing and spending time with family and friends. He and beautiful wife, Sam, have two wonderful little girls.
Sean Thornton is one of Kudzu’s principle owners. He entered the staffing world straight out of college and has never looked back. He graduated with a major in Marketing and a minor in Competitive Edge. A former member of Clemson University’s golf team, Sean knows what it takes to inspire a group of dedicated employees to stay on top of their game. When he’s not pouring over the details at work, he is an active member of the Easley Chamber of Commerce. The MVPs on Sean’s team are his three children.
Our VP of Operations, Kevin Kozak, jumped on board in June of 2015 and is an outstanding leader of the Kudzu team. Kevin came to us with years of management and military experience making him well-qualified to handle the oversight of all operations of Kudzu. Kevin graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 1995 with a degree in Engineering and a minor in Political Science. He served on the USS RUSHMORE from 1997-2000 and went on to hold a number of positions around the country tied to management in the manufacturing industry. During this time he used staffing heavily so he has a clear understanding of client expectations on the fulfillment and benefit of our services.
Chi Hunter has been with Kudzu Staffing since the very beginning and wears several hats throughout the company. Chi is the Recruiting Manager for our Greenville Office and helped open and currently manages our Augusta Office. She is able to revel in the success and consistent growth the past eight years has offered Kudzu Staffing, because she helped make it happen! As Kudzu’s very own social butterfly, Chi loves staying out and about visiting her clients, planning internal and external events and searching for new potential employees and clients. Chi loves spending time with her son Bay, family and friends. You will never see Chi pass up a great pair of heels!!
Lindsay Ritter is Kudzu's multi-tasker with the smiling face and country twang. A nine-year veteran of the staffing business, she works hard as Kudzu’s Skilled Trades/Safety Manager to give all of our clients the best opportunities available. Aside from being our resident go-getter, she's willing to chat you up about all things hunting, fishing, archery, Braves Baseball and Georgia Football. She's pumped to be a part of Kudzu Staffing and wants to see the company and its customers flourish. Feel free to stop by her office for more information, y'hear?
As Kudzu’s personal ray of sunshine, Sam Brooks brings a bright and cheerful light into the office. She is always the first person to tell you good morning with a smile. She is an honest and caring recruiter that genuinely wants the best for everyone. She keeps us laughing and is full of surprises. Sam is no stranger to the industry with a total of ten years o experience under her belt. Her husband Josh, son Connor, newest addition Kylie and the Carolina Gamecocks, keep Sam on her toes, but you can often find her curled up with a good book!
Shanna Patton has been an obvious asset to Kudzu since she walked through the door. Her enthusiasm for helping customers, employees and co-workers can be seen in her great attitude every day. Her years of experience in several different industries have helped her transition into her position in Employee Relations and Human Resources. Shanna works very hard every day to respond to each Kudzu employee and her work is greatly appreciated around the office. No one can do what she does for Kudzu every day! Shanna is an Arkansas native who lives in Powdersville with her husband, Brian, and two handsome boys. In her spare time she enjoys watching baseball with her family and cheering on the Razorbacks.
Cean Irvin is Kudzu’s resident employee nurturer and problem solver. Cean’s years of being a business owner and employer have given her the skills and knowledge she needs to tackle a problem head on. As a recruiter for Kudzu, Cean specializes in nurturing both Kudzu Clients and Employees to help them reach their maximum potential. In-line with her get-it-done attitude, Cean enjoys filling a client’s needs with the right candidate the first time. Just like her name, Cean is one-of-a-kind and when there is a staffing need to be met she is one you can count on. Cean is a graduate of Clemson University and can be found in orange and purple any day of the year. Other than enjoying Clemson sports, she enjoys spending time at the lake with her gorgeous daughter Brook, her husband Mike, and all of her friends and family.
Diana Nelson has worked in Real Estate Accounting since graduating from Lander University in 1996. She made a career change to Kudzu Staffing in 2012 and is really enjoying learning the Staffing Industry. She is an Upstate SC native. In her free time, she enjoys spending the day with her husband and son, watching college sports (GO GAMECOCKS), and chasing her dogs “Pickles“ and “Sophie”.
Kudzu's Payroll Department is excited to have Lorie Steveson join the team! She is an Erskine College graduate that has worked in accounting within the manufacturing and insurance industries for 14 years. Lorie was born and raised in Easley and is now married, raising two beautiful children of her own in the same town! Her biggest weakness is seeing the sad eyes of a dog in need - leaving her with four rescued fur-babies. When she isn't putting out fires in payroll, you can find her with her kids, reading, baking or enjoying the great SC weather!
Mary Katherine Martin has been a part of Kudzu Staffing since October 2012. Her winning personality, professional attitude and efficient nature has made her an avid addition to the team. Mary Katherine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Education from Clemson University. Here at Kudzu, Mary Katherine is the lead recruiter in our Education Center. She loves working with our substitute employees and is eager to grow with Kudzu Staffing in this direction. Outside of work, you can find Mary Katherine spending time with her husband, Zach, visiting her family or catching the latest deals at Marshall’s with her girlfriends! She is thankful to have the opportunity to work with the amazing staff at Kudzu and is excited to be a part of its success.
Mykal Nix is no stranger to the staffing industry. Mykal greets everyone that comes through the door with a welcoming smile. With a background in customer service and staffing, she is ready and prepared to help anyone she can. Mykal prides herself in taking the time to listen to each candidate in hopes to find the position that best fits their skills and expectations. In her spare time she enjoys shopping for bargains, cooking, and being a mom to her son Kai and dog Major.
Misty Jones became part of the Kudzu family in September of 2014. Bringing years of experience in the legal field, and service industry –she’s very familiar and comfortable working with the public. She’s very appreciative and excited about the opportunity to grow with an amazing company on the rise. You can find her at the front desk with a warm smile, and a welcoming and accommodating demeanor with new and existing employees. She naturally tries to cater to her fellow coworkers and is a team player. Her two children, Corine and Xavier keep her busy with various activities from dirt bike tracks, to visiting her oldest at College in Rock Hill. She’s an avid dog lover, and has three furbabies. College Football, shopping, eating out and curling up on the couch with her significant other watching Netflix, are just some of her pastimes. She looks forward to growing with such a giving and caring company.
Bethany Vierling joined the team in August of 2015 as our Marketing and Sales Representative. With her creative mind and eye for design, she is responsible for managing our brand as a whole and taking on our promotional endeavors. Bethany graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications and a minor in Business Administration. At any given moment she may be updating our webpage, designing advertising materials, planning job fairs or coordinating charity events. As for her life outside of the office, Bethany believes time is best spent with family, friends, and her Springer Spaniel, Ellie.
